Allen Ray Blackstock was born on November 18, 1939 in El Campo, Texas to Lonnie Ray and Lela Mae (Perry) Blackstock. He was the fifth of eight children.

Allen accepted Christ early in life and united with Highway Baptist Church.

He married Vivian Wonnel Moncriel.  This union was blessed with four children.

Allen worked as a heavy equipment operator.

On October 14, 2017 in Palestine, Texas, Allen's hardworking hands were called to rest.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Ray and Lela Mae Blackstock; wife, Vivian Wonnell Blackstock; son, Walter Earl Blackstock; three sisters, Ruth Freeman, Geneva McDonald and Penny Blackstock Collins; two brothers, Buddy Blackstock and Ronnie Blackstock.

Those left with precious memories to cherish are: son, Arthur Allen Blackstock of Elkhart, Texas; two daughters, Vicky Lynn (Ricky) Allen of Chireno, Texas and Jeana Strickland of Huntington, Texas; brother, Clyde Blackstock of Bryan, Texas; sister, Virginia McDonald of San Antonio, Texas; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
