On August 30, 1934 in Oakwood, Texas, Rev. Laconie and Eliza Emanuel gave birth to their first son, Anthony Wayne Emanuel. Laconie and Eliza taught their children early the most important thing is life "Love and Trust in God".

Anthony attended St. Paul Shiloh High School in Oakwood, Texas. Anthony would often joke about how he loved to go to school because he got the chance to fight before and after school. After graduating in 1952, Anthony enlisted in the United States Army. While serving his country, Anthony received a Honorable Discharge from the military.

Anthony decided to settle down in Los Angeles, CA, after serving his country. He utilized his GI Bill to attend cosmetology school and open his own Barber Shop. It was during this time that he met a young cosmetologist in which he described as "beautiful and neat around the waist".

In 1959, Anthony Wayne Emanuel Sr. And Vera Odell Johnson united in holy matrimony. Their unification produced a family of fives sons and four daughters; Valerie, Victor, Anthony Jr., Vince, Laconie, Judy, Giselle, Aaron, and Jessica.

Anthony transitioned from a career in cosmetology to working for the City of Los Angeles in their Agriculture Division of which he remained for 25 years. In 1970, Anthony decided to move his family from Los Angeles to Littlerock, CA to provide his family with the opportunity to grow up in a safe rural setting.

In 1975, while attending First Missionary Baptist Church as active members, Anthony was called to preach and served as associate minister under Pastor Henry Hearns for many years.

Anthony loved and provided for his family throughout his entire life. Everyone in the family knew that if they were ever in need of something, Anthony would be there for them. He was just that type of dad. Anthony did not allow idle time to be the devil's workshop in his life. Anthony always kept on the move keeping himself busy planting gardens, repairing the roof, fixing water pipes, or working on cars.

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Laconie and Eliza Emanuel; brothers Eddie Lee, Bennie, Paul and sister Vada Jackson.

Anthony leaves to cherish his many memories:
Siblings; Annie L. Williams, Beverly & Charles Robbins, Ruby Small, Urita Robertson, Sammy Emanuel, LaConie & Christine Emanuel, Daniel & Dorothy Emanuel, Lawrence & Gloria Emanuel, Ronald Emanuel, Ray & Kay Emanuel, Maurice & Dee Emanuel, Goree & Cheryl Emanuel, Benjamin & Sandra Emanuel and Johnny & Connie Emanuel. Anthony was blessed to have 33 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and one great great grandson, a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins.
