Obituary for Archie Faye Martinez
On October 17, 1943 in Grapeland, Texas, Archie and Charitie (Lloyd) Burton became the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl, they named her Archie Faye. She was the fourth of nine children.
Archie was raised in the Salem Community and attended school at W.R. Banks in Grapeland, Texas.
She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with New Salem Baptist Church.
Archie Faye married Lee Herman Martinez on June 20, 2000.
She worked as a Medical Aide at Crockett Care Center for 30 years.
On March 21, 2014 in Waco, Texas, Archie Faye left this earth on the Wings of Angels.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Charitie Burton; three brothers, Dewayne Martinez, Frank Burton, Lewis Burton, Freeman Burton; four sisters, Jennie Harris, Rosie Bedford, Easter Burton, Hattie Burton; in-laws, Mack Arthur and R.L. Martinez, Mae Frances Garrett; mother and father in-law, Addie and Charlie Martinez.
Those left behind to remember many loving memories are: Loving husband, Lee Herman Martinez; loving children, Kenneth (Shun) Burton, Lee (Amanda) Martinez, Loveland, TX, Frank Martinez, Oklahoma City, OK, Lesie (Wade) Creag, Crockett, TX, Marilyn Kay (Keith) Steele, Crockett, TX, Lauren Addison, Houston, TX, Patrick Martin, Joyce Ann Martin; sister, Helen Burton Hamilton, Crockett, TX; brothers-in-law, James Ray (Cherie) Martinez, Ohio, Charles (Roberta) Martinez, Lufkin, TX; sister-in-law, Charline Shackford, Houston, TX; great granddaughter, Aeriel Martinez; five special aunts, Mary Rhodes, Josie Lipscomb, Etta M.
