August Lee Carnish was born on June 24, 1944, in Houston, Texas, to Ida Mae Carnish, he was raised by Walter and Eula Carnish. He was the first of ten children.
August accepted Christ at an early age and united with Fairfield Baptist Church, he later united with Antioch Baptist Church in Malakoff, Texas.
He was raised in Trinidad, Texas. August departed his earthly body on March 3, 2014 in Fairfield, Texas.
Survivors include: son; daughter; siblings, Don (Lucille) Johnson, Eula McNeil, Diane Deason, Dinetha Gilmore, Ida (Gerald) Scranton, Alicia (Lewis) Rice, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
