Bettie Faye Turner was born on April 6, 1948 in Freestone County, Texas to Napoleon and Leola Alford Turner.  She was the youngest sibling of 5 children.

Bettie was raised in the quaint city of Bethel, TX where she graduated as Salutatorian from Butler High School in 1966.  She went on to receive her Bachelors degree in Education in Waco and her Masters from Prairie View University in 1974.  She dedicated her career to teaching for over 30 years and retired as a Dallas ISD Educator from Stevens Park Elementary School where she enhanced the lives of many students and was loved by all.

She accepted Christ early in life and was a faithful member of Waymon Chapel AME Church.

On Thursday night October 24, 2019 Bettie left her earthly home to go be with her Heavenly Father.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Napoleon and Leola Turner, her sisters Rufus Turner and Mable Turner-Gaston; brothers Clem Turner and Johnny Dean Turner; nephew Ralph Dennis Turner.

She will always be missed by her niece Alesha Nicole Turner; her great-nieces Keaundra Turner (Washington) and LaTasha Ridge and Aunt Frankie Terry.  A host of loving relatives and friends.
