Beverly Jean Smith Cook was born on January 15, 1954 in Dallas, Texas, to Luther Leroy and Mary Helen Gressit Smith. She was the fifth of seven children born to this union.

She was raised in Hutchinson, Texas and attended school at Hutchinson Public School.

Beverly accepted Christ as a child and united with Family Worship Center in Kerrville, Texas..

She married Jimmie Floyd Cook on January 19, 1968. This union was blessed with four children.

Beverly passed away on December 9, 2015 in Comfort, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Jimmie Floyd Cook, Jr., Timothy Wayne Cook and Bambi Jean Cook; sister, Margaret Ann Booth.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmie F. Cook, Comfort, Texas; son Jimmy Dwayne (Amelia) Cook, Comfort, Texas; two brothers, Joseph Earl Smith and Luther Deal Smith both of Comfort, Texas; three sisters, Janice (Larry) Long, Cedar Creek, Texas, Brenda (Dicky) Hurst, Comfort, Texas and Mary Katherine (Danny) Upchurch, Florida; uncle, Donald (Wanda) Smith, Montalba, Texas; four grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
