Dan Washington was born in Fairfield, Texas to Andrew and Phylish Yarbrough Washington. He was the fifth of six children.
Dan grew up in Fairfield, Texas and attended school at Post Oak and Furney Richardson Public School.
Dan was a Baptist.
He served in the United States Navy and was also self-employed.
On October 22, 2017 in Teague, Texas, Dan left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Phylish Washington; daughter, Alice Marie; two sons, Autry Washington and Danny Washington; sisters, Arrie Bell Brown and Mary O. Dunbar; brothers, H.C. "Watt" Washington and O.C. Washington.
Loving survivors: two sons, Gregory Washington and Craig L. Washington; daughters, Dianne W. (Don) Hubbard of Dallas, Texas, Theressa Washington of Dallas, Texas and Ethel Finch of Philadelphia; sister, Ioatie Flowers of Tyler, Texas; host of grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
