David Lee Davis was born on May 20, 1961 in Palestine, Texas to Ezzra Larkin and Opal Faye Davis. He was the sixth of seven children.

David was raised in the Jerusalem Community and attended Palestine Public Schools.

He accepted Christ at an early age and united with Jerusalem Baptist Church.

David married Brenda Joyce Cumby.

He worked in construction.

On January 2, 2016 in Athens, Texas, David let this earth on the Wings of Angels. He was preceded in death by his parents, Opal Davis and Ezzra Larkin; siblings, Sammy Davis, William Earl Davis and Patricia Barrett; in-laws: Lula Mae and Hobert Cumby.

Those left to cherish sweet memories are: wife, Brenda C. Davis, Athens, Texas; two sons, David Demon (Jennifer) Davis, Athens, Texas, Tevin Termon Davis, Athens, Texas; daughter, Sabrina (Herman) Ellis, Palestine, Texas; sister, Brenda J. Davis, Palestine, Texas; brother, Raymond Davis and  DeArtis Davis, Palestine, Texas; four sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; six grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
