David Leroy Jones was born April 13, 1957 in Oakwood, Texas to Emzell and Pauline (Woodard) Jones. He was the sixth child of 16.

David was raised in Oakwood, Texas and graduated from Fairfield High School.

He accepted Christ early in life and united with Pine Top United  Methodist Church.

He worked for Ranger Excavating for 19 years. He loved attending concerts, hunting and fishing.

On April 17, 2016 in Cedar Creek, Texas, David left this earth on the Wings of Angels. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emzell and Pauline Jones;  siblings, Willie George Jones, Mildred Diane Jones, Ever Jean Rucker.
