Earnestine Booker Abram

Earnestine Booker Abram was born October 19, 1934.  She was the oldest child of Mr. Elisha Booker and Mrs. Johnnie of 10 children in Magnolia Springs, Texas.  Earnestine was a bold and tireless Soldier for the Lord, one who never retreated from the battlefield.  On Wednesday October 15, 2014, the Great Commanding General issued her an Honorable Discharge - from Earth to Glory.

After she graduated from high school, Earnestine moved to Houston where she lived with her Aunt Carrie Harris.  While living there, she met and married W. C. Abram of Oakwood, Texas.  They lived in Houston, Texas for a few years with an open-door to anyone who needed a place to live for a period of time...(Relatives), some included Willis Abram, Vassie Kelley, Lee Lewis and Justine.  Earnestine and W. C. were both kind hearted and demonstrated it in many ways.  After a few years in Houston, they moved to California.

To this union of W. C. and Earnestine, eleven children were born.  Earnestine was a very kind and happy person who was so very blessed to have wonderful children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who all loved and cared for her when her own health failed her.  They showed love and loyalty.  She always had her quiver filled with such tender loving care.  How blessed she was again later in life when her two sons, Roger and Willard and her second granddaughter, Danielle and nephew, Cedric Abram moved her from California back to Texas where we all visited her in her beautiful apartment.

Earnestine was saved and accepted Christ at an early age.  She attended First Church of God in Fresno, California until her health started failing.  She would always answer the phone with an uplifting voice and say "Praise the Lord" and say it enthusiastically!

We will miss you,Earnestine and we will always remember your love and kind ways.  May you now rest in the arms of our Lord and Saviour where there will be no more diseases and pains of this life.  Through your life, we saw your Light Shine bright!  We will keep the candle burning.  We love you always!

Earnestine has gone to receive her crown of life.  She was preceded in death by her husband, W. C. Abram, her parents, Elisha and Johnnie Booker, her daughter, Carolyn Abram, her sons, Darryl Abram and James Abram, her brother, L. C. Booker and sister, Dorothy Booker Washington.

She leaves to cherish so many wonderful memories:  Three sons, Willard (Mary), Roger (Mary), both of Fort Worth, Texas and Ernest of Fresno, California;  Four daughters, Debra Abram of McKinney, Texas, Lisa Abram, Jacqueline Abram and Naomi Abram, all from Fresno, California; Two brothers, Weldon Booker (Ruth)and Marvin Booker (Paulette); Four sisters, Vassie Kelley (John), Carrie Booker, Tina Bowens and Sweetie Wallace; Four sisters-in-law, Agnes Abram, Brenda Abram and Mobilia Hunt, all from Oakwood, Texas and Louise Mims (James); a Special brother-in-law, Bobbie from Gatesville, Texas; 17 Grandchildren, 19 Great grandchildren and a hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
