Eddie Lee Allen was born on November 7, 1953 in Conroe, Texas to Winford and Ima Jean (Rancher) Allen. He was the second of six children.

Eddie was raised in Houston, Texas.

He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was saved and baptized with his younger brother, Winford Allen, Jr. In Atlanta, Texas at The Assembly of God in 2005.

Eddie passed away on July 8, 2016 in Houston, Texas.  He was preceded in death by his father, Winford Allen; two brothers, Morris Allen Baker and Winford Allen, Jr.; A very special cousin, Gail Brooks.

Loving survivors include: mother, Ima Jean Grove, Bossier City, Louisiana; brother, Billy Carter, Bossier City, Louisiana; two sisters, Judy Shanell, Houston, Texas and Cherie Rein, Vivian, Louisiana; eight aunts, Barbara Allen, Juanita Allen, Eddie May Baker, Joyce Lee Rothlander, Nellie Faye Walker, Iren Smith, Inez Walters and Marcella Boswell; four uncles, Emmett Allen, Obie Baker, Elva Rancher and Ray Rancher. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
