Eddie Joe Morrison was born on June 7, 1957, in Lexington, Texas, to James Morrison, Jr. and Ruthie Morrison. He was raised in Dallas, Texas, where he received his education through Dallas ISD.

Eddie attended Elkhart Holy Temple and carried a quiet strength and steady work ethic throughout his life. He worked faithfully as a handyman, always willing to lend his hands and his heart wherever they were needed.

On June 24, 2026, in Dallas, Texas, Eddie departed from this earth. He is preceded in death by his father, James Morrison, Jr.; his son, Jason Williamson; grandparents, James & Littie Shelby, and Clyde & Etta V. Gates; and nephew, Ronnie Morrison, Jr.

Eddie leaves to cherish his memory his parents Ruthie & Sammy McMorris; sons, Donald Minter and Greg Williamson; daughter, Tajuana Townsend; brothers, Wilburn Shelby (Repunzal), Jimmy Morrison, and Ronnie Morrison (Tunisunia); bonus brothers, Sammy Jr., Terri Lynn, Michael, Dennis, Ricky, and L.C.; sisters, Joyce Davidson (Ray), Clarice Scott, and Brenda Askew; bonus sisters, Lakwanda, Shanicka, and Angel; and aunt, Ola Mae Verse; along with a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Eddie's life was marked by humility, kindness, and a willingness to help others. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the many lives he touched.
