Rev. Elliott Wayne Turner of Palestine Tx., formally of Oakwood Tx. died October 6,2020 in Freestone County. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 17,2020 at 10:00 am at the Oakwood High School Auditorium.

Emanuel Funeral Home of Palestine will be in charge.

Elliott Wayne Turner, Sr was born on February 18, 1960 in Oakwood,
Texas to Jetson Turner "Pine Top" and Maurine Smith Turner. He was the
eighth of 14 children.
Elliott was raised in Oakwood, Texas and attended Oakwood I.S.D. in
Oakwood, Texas.
Rev. Turner accepted Christ into his life early in life and united with
Harrison Chapel Church of God in Christ, later joined Jerusalem
Missionary Baptist Church where he was a member until he passed away.
He married Beverly Turner on May 30, 1998. This union was blessed with
three children.
Elliott had many jobs including Curtis Mathis, Walmart Warehouse,
Tucker, Texas, TDCJ Michael Unit, until he retired. He was a member of
East Texas Dogwood Chapter and a Basketball Official.
Rev. Elliott Wayne Turner passed away on October 6, 2020 in Freestone
County, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jetson "Pine
Top" Turner and Maurine Turner; grandparents, Luke (Sarah) Smith,
Jerrel c. Turner and Lillie Hilton; sisblings, Anita Joyce Turner, Vanessa
Kay Boxie, Larry Turner; in-laws, Theoris Henderson, Burneice Barrett,
Clenol Barrett and Rev. James Williams.
Loving Survivors: Loving wife, Beverly Turner, Palestine, Texas; son,
Elliott Wayne Turner, Jr. (Demenka); daughters, Erica Lashelle Turner
