Evenly Yvonne Barker was born July 20, 1958 to Magdaline Barker and Willie James Davis in Athens, Texas. She attended public schools in Athens, Texas and later joined Job Corp in Oklahoma. Evelyn was employed with Curtis Mathes Manufacturing and Park Highland Nursing Home. She had many close friends and close relatives.

Evelyn was preceded in death by one brother, Freddie Travis Dodd; maternal grandparents, David and Lillian Lollar Barker; one daughter, Baby Lillian Barker; parental grandparents, Joe and Addie Bell Sullivan; father, Clyde "Pop" Brown, several aunts, uncles, cousins, brother-in-law, Arthur Ray Warren and many close friends.

Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory, her loving mother Magdaline Brown, Palestine, Texas; one son, Scotty LaMonds Barker; one grandson / son, Colin Bradley Barker; seven brothers, Ricky Hambrick (Tammy), Don Dodd (Sonja), David Dodd, Michael Dodd, Clyde, Jr., Clifford Wayne and Willie Earl; one biological sister, Ewana Warren (Earl B.) Two half sisters, Sandra (James) and Georgia (Billy) and aunt LaVera Roberts, plus three grandchildren.
