On July 23, 1934 , Mr. and Mrs. Eddie and Cora Reed became the blessed parents of a precious baby girl, they named Fostine.

She received her education at Mt. Moriah School and Henry High School.

Fostine, under the stern and loving hand of her mother Cora, was a diligent member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.  Fostine moved to Houston, Texas, where she was a faithful and devoted member of Yellowstone Missionary Baptist Church until 1981.  She moved back to Palestine, and was reunited with Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and served faithfully until her health failed.

On July 31, 2017 , the Angel of Silence called her by name, relieving her of all pain, suffering and daily worries. She is preceded in death by her husband Emory Dorsey; parents, Eddie Reed, Sr. and Cora Beatrice Micheaux Reed; sons, Clemmie George (Brock) Hightower, Jr. and James Edward Dorsey; sisters, Cleatrice Bass, Laura Williams, Rachel Johnson and Christine Haney; brothers, Joseph Reed Sr. and Leonard Reed, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memories; two daughters, Henrietta Hightower and Debra (Samuel) Smith and two sons, John (Cecile) Hightower and Richard (Lisa) Dorsey; one brother, Eddie Reed, Jr. and two sisters, Maurine Williams and Joanne Lathan; 24 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
