+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Gene Autry Morrow, Sr. was born on Thursday, June 6, 1940 in rural Palestine, Texas to the late John Morrow and Bernice Lusk Morrow.  He attended Green Bay Public Schools and graduated from Green Bay High School in May of 1960.

He accepted Christ into his life at an early age at Green Bay A.M.E. Church.

On September 14, 1963 Gene united in holy matrimony to Miss Nellie Ruth Bryant and to this union one son (Gene Autry Morrow, Jr.) was born.

After spending several years in the piney woods of Deep East Texas, Gene moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area and worked as truck driver for over 30 years.  During this time and after, he was an active and sometimes vocal member of Teamsters Local 745.  He had a heart for fairness and justice in the workplace.

In retirement Gene enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, doting about his grandkids and watching baseball.  Those who knew him best will remember him as an easy-going and giving gentlemen who loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Morrow, Sr. and Bernice Lusk Morrow along with siblings, John Morrow, Jr., Martha K. Morrow, Margie N. Morrow and Walter D. Morrow.

Mr. Morrow leaves to continue his legacy his only child, Gene Morrow, Jr.  (Stefani) of Midlothian; three grandchildren, Meredith Geneva Morrow, Madison Giselle Morrow and Mason Gentry Morrow;  two sisters, Annie Kelley of and Ruth Morrow both of Fort Worth; one brother, Gus David Morrow( Delois) of Fort Worth and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family,  friends and neighbors who all loved him dearly.
