Gene Autry Phillips, age 71, of Dallas, Texas, died July 15, 2017 in Marland Wood Nursing Home Senior Care (Interim Hospice), Dallas, Texas.

LIFE RFLECTONS OF GENE AUTRY PHILLIPS
Gene Autry Phillips was born on March 9, 1946 in Oakwood, Texas to Bernice Phillips. He was the third of five children.
He was raised in Centerville, Texas and attended Douglas High School in Centerville, Texas.
Gene accepted Christ early in life and united with Ebenezer Baptist Church in Centerville, he later joined CME Church in Temple, Texas.
He joined the U.S. Army and later worked for the V.A.
Gene passed away on July 15, 2017 in Temple, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Hogg; two brothers, Alton Hogg and Eddie Phillips.
Those left behind to cherish sweet memories are: ]Two brothers, Billy Phillips of Dallas, Texas and Bobby Phillips of Rockdale, Texas; sister-in-law, Barbara Hogg of Dallas, Texas; three nieces, Linda (Reginald) Burton of Houston, Texas, Annette Hogg of Dallas, Texas, Yvette (Mark) Johnson of Lancaster, Texas; great nephews, Rodrick (Jackie) Robinson, Antwiane (Ze'Antra) Hogg, Nicholas Johnson; great great nephew, Isaiah Robinson. A host of other relatives and friends.
