Mr. James Roy Wheeler-Bryant was born December 24th, 1952 in Cleveland, Texas to the proud parents of Ms. Lella Mae Wheeler and Mr. Royal "GiGi" Bryant Jr. He accepted Christ at a very young age and trained in the faith under the leadership of Rev. K. C. Jones, Mary's Chapel Baptist Church.

He attended Trinity High School and a proud graduate of the class of 1971. Following in his father's footsteps he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served as a law enforcement specialist. Upon leaving the military he made his home in Rancho Cordova, California and career as a federal employee at Mather, McClellan and Beale Air Force Base for nearly 30 years.

James is preceded in death by his Father - Royal "GiGi" Bryant Jr; Brother - Clifford Ray Bryant; Sister - George Ann Epps; Maternal Grandparents – WT & Bertha Wheeler and Paternal Grandparents - Royal Bryant Sr, LB & Cinderella Smith; three aunts – Annie B. Wheeler-Woodard, Ella Jean Wheeler-Ross and Ruthie Mae Wheeler. One uncle - JT Wheeler, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Mother - Mrs. Lella Mae Wheeler-Fields; step- father Otha Lee Fields; Five children - Natasha Terrie Riley-Waller (Kenneth) of Houston, Texas; Archie Lee Beasley (Shantel) of Humble, Texas; Emmely Marijn of Pleasantville, New Jersey; Richard Lemon Satterwhite of Modesto, California and Kendall Marie Merritt of Elk Grove, California. Four sisters - Minnie Lou Wheeler- Francis of Trinity, Texas; Jacqueline Lee of Humble, Texas; Sandra Love of Cedar Hill, Texas; and Tanya Bryant-White (Charles) of Cleveland, Texas. Two brothers – Charles Ray Bryant and Cedric Jerome Bass of Cleveland, Texas. Seven grandchildren – Andre Lamar White Jr, Dietrich DeVontray White, Carlton Kennor Adams-White and Aaliyah Marjoni-Royale Waller (Natasha); Archie Lee Beasley II and Amari' Lashay Beasley (Archie) and Dante Cody (Emmely); four aunts – Eddie "Mickey" LaScola, Shirley Belcher, Betty Lou Wheeler-Hamilton (Donald) and Cynthia Wheeler-Archie (Larry); two Uncles – Homerzell Wheeler (Mittie), WT Wheeler, Jr and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
