Jessie Jones of Houston Texas  formally for Leon County died 10/9/2020 in Houston Texas.

Jessie Mae Jones was born on August 11, 1931 in Leon County, Texas to Virginia Smith Carr.
Jessie was raised in the Shiloh Community and attended St. Paul High School.
She accepted Christ as a child and united with Mt. PilgrimMissionary Baptist Church, later she joined Hakwan Street
Baptist.

Jessie worked as a R.N. at St. Joseph Hospital and at HISD
Dietary Department.

Jessie passed away on October 9, 2020 in Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Smith Carr; sons, Cedric Jones and David Jones; brother,
Nathaniel Johnson.

Loving Survivors: son, Cecil Johnson (Cecilia) and
Seminole, Florida; two daughters, Ella Dean Bess, Cuero,
Texas and Cheryl Bates (Reginald) Houston, Texas; a host
of other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be Friday October 16,2020 from 10 am to 6 pm at Emanuel Funeral Home in Palestine Tx.

Saturday viewing will be from 8 am to 10 am

at Progressive New Hope Baptist Church Houston Texas

followed by funeral services at 10:00 a.m.

Burial will be at the Shiloh Community Cemetery, Oakwood Tx.
