Josephine Jones-Daniels was born on August 14, 1914 in Freestone County (Butler/Oakwood, Tx) to John Henry and Isabella Durham-Jones. She was the seventh of eight children. Josephine was raised in the Lake Port Community and attended Lake Port Schools.

Josephine accepted Christ early in life and united with Lone Star Baptist Church (President of the Cemetery), Bell Zion Baptist (Usher Board President). She was a recipient of "The Heroine of Jericho" Award, God's Household of Faith (Church Mother), Bethlehem Baptist Church (Under Watch Care).

Josephine married Eddie Daniels, and they raised eight children. Josephine worked at LaMarque ISD as a Dietician.

Josephine's loving spirit left her earthly body on August 19, 2018 in Mansfield, Texas.  She was preceded in death by her Parents: John and Isabella Jones; Children: Quannie Lee Cleveland, Litha Bell Session, Annie Bell Hayes, Helen Ruth Hayes and Joann Jones; Siblings: Pervy Jones, Ever Lewis, Careen Curry, "Sweet Dew" Jones, K.C. Jones, Taft Jones and Pocahontas Burnett.

Josephine is survived by her Loving Daughter: Josie Etta Sandifer of LaMarque, Texas; Two Sons: Lafayette Bob Hayes of Oakwood, Texas and Otha Wayne (Dianne) Hayes of Houston, Texas; Grandchildren: Darlene Sandifer (Leonard) Hornsby, Warren Sandifer, Sherriel Muhammad, Harold Jones, Kesha (Anthony) Brown, Rasheeda (Adrian) Jones Kie, Djuanald Curry, Rodney Curry, Michael (Sherry) Singh, Kimberley (Kory Clarida) Smith, Otha Wayne Hayes, Jr., Jacqueline Sevier, Marcus Wayne (Shante) Anderson, Alicia Shantell Anderson, Taiishka Letrayle Hayes; Nephews and Nieces: Robert Lee Burnett, Ever Dee, Clifton, Harvey, Joe Henry, Babe Rae, Eunice Jean, Fannie, H.S., Cynthia, Willie Mae, Bertha Mae, Verna Jean, Theresa, Marilyn, David, Charles, James Edward, Joe, Curtis, Roy Lee, Wayne, Jeff, Andrew, Melvin, Anthony, Arthur, Mickey; Sister-in-Law: Mable Britton; God Given Children: Paul Shivers, Ray Emanuel, Alexandria Reeves, Bella Satt, Isaac Durham, Jeanna Mills and many others.
