Judy Carolyn Pryor was born on
December 3, 1943
in Rusk, Texas to Ira and Millie George Atkins, Sr. She was the last of six children born to this union.
Judy was raised in Rusk and and attended Rusk Public School.
She accepted Christ early in life and united with West Union CME in Rusk, also Power House, and later joined with Grant Chapel AME Church.
Judy married Elzie Pryor, Jr. On
June 6, 1966
. This union was blessed with six children.
The angel of silence came for Judy on
February 25, 2017
in Palestine, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Millie Atkins, Sr.; Son, Vincent Atkins; brothers, Ira Atkins, Jr., Billy Joe Atkins and Billy Joy Atkins; sisters, Mary Ann Polk, Eula Mae Michaeunx and Earnestine Polk.
Those remaining behind to cherish sweet memories:
Husband, Elize Pryor, Jr; sons, Elzie Pryor III (Shenia) and Kevin Pryor, both of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Tilia Pryor, Temika Pryor and Chasity Pryor, all of Palestine, Texas; sister, Evelyn Forman of Rusk, Texas; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
