Leola Henry Jackson was born on July 10, 1930 in Palestine, Texas to Arthur and Minnie Ola (Henry) Jones.  She was the second of six children.

Leola was raised in Palestine, Texas and attended Palestine Public Schools.

She accepted Christ early in life and united with South Union Missionary Baptist Church.

Leola married Edward Thomas Jackson.  This union was blessed with four children.

Leola worked at Little Mexico Restaurant.

On February 20, 2017 in Palestine, Texas, Leola left this earth on the Wings of Angels. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Jones and Minnie O. Henry; husband, Edward T. Jackson; sisters, Callie Mae Jones, Rebecca Tutt, Catherine Ogg; brothers, Freddie Henry, Arthur Lee Henry and John A. Henry.

She will always be remembered by her loving children, two son, Eddie Lee Jackson of Palestine, Texas and Freddie Jackson of Tyler, Texas; two daughters, Lou Ella Jackson of Palestine, Texas and Joyce Word of Garland, Texas; brother, Willie James Henry of Palestine, Texas; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
