Precious Memories of Leroy "Shawty" Davis, Jr.

Leroy Davis, Jr. was born on April 4, 1972 in Texarkana, Texas to Leroy Sr. and Bettye Jean (Gainous) Davis. He was the third of six children.

Leroy was affectionately known as "Shawty".

Leroy was raised in Carver Terrace, Texarkana, Texas and attended Liberty Eylau High School.

He accepted Christ early in life and united with Union Hill Baptist Church in Texarkana, Texas.

Leroy worked at Golden Corral and he also worked in construction.

Leroy passed away on November 3, 2016 in Texarkana, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Davis, Sr.; brother, Arthur Bailey; grandparents, Louis Davis and Callie Kitchen, Jesse Gaines and Nettie Smith.

Loving survivors, seven children, Leroy Jones, Elexis Young, Titiana Young, Cameron Davis, Tyrese Davis, Lamenshaney Harris, Kenyatta Tucker; mother, Bettye Jean Davis; three brothers, Louis (Sharon) Davis of Crockett, Texas, Byron (Tressa) Davis of Crockett, Texas and Torrance (Lisa) Davis of Euless, Texas; sister, Sherida (Troy) Robinson of Texarkana, Arkansas; uncle, Willie Fred Kitchen; one grandchild; special cousin, Rosetta Cooper; special friend, Jeanetta Watson. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
