Obituary for Marie (Walker) McDaniel
A sweet baby girl was born on December 1, 1932 in Grapeland, Texas, to the proud parents of Isom and Emma (Washington) Walker. She was the fourth child born to this union.
Marie accepted Christ into her life as a child and united with the Church of The Living God.
She was raised in Grapeland, Texas and attended school in the Mt. Zion Community.
Marie married Robert McDaniel in November of 1948. Together they raised nine children.
Marie was a Domestic Worker.
On February 8, 2015, Marie departed this earth on wings of angels from Whitehall Nursing Center in Crockett, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isom and Emma Walker; daughter, Genetha Maye Taylor; three sisters, Willie Pearl Leonard, Katie B. Ellisor, Willie Mae Coleman; brother, Herbert L. Johnson.
Survivors include her loving children: Sons, Robert Lee McDaniel (Lela), Arizona, Edward Lee McDaniel, Dallas, Alvis McDaniel (Helena) Grapeland, Frank McDaniel, Houston, Johnny B. McDaniel (Audrey) Crockett, Wayne McDaniel, Frankston, TX, Herbert McDaniel, Houston, TX; daughters, Wanda McDaniel, Grapeland, TX, Dorothy Harris (Anthony) Crockett, TX, Louise Simon(Earl) Crockett, TX; three brothers, John Walker (Helen) Dallas, TX, Edward Walker (Shirley) Frankston, TX, R.L.Walker, Oakwood, TX; six sisters, Isom Mae Wiley, Gladys Walker, Bobbie Walker, Dorothy Pervis, Oakwood, TX, Doris Walker, Michigan, Lilly Murray, Tucker, TX, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
