Mike Anthony Thomas was born on September 15, 1958 in Fairfield, Texas to Julius and Mary Elizabeth Lewis Thomas. He was the last of ten children.

Mike was raised in Freestone County, Texas and attended school at Dogan High School in Fairfield.

He accepted Christ early in life and united with Long Chapel M.C. Later he joined Bank Stop Community Church in Fairfield, Texas.

Mike married Mary Burns on March 13, 2003.

He worked in construction as an operator.

On October 1, 2015 in Fairfield, Texas, Mike left this earth on the Wings of Angels. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Mary Elizabeth Thomas; Julius Thomas and Jay Thomas.

Those left behind to cherish sweet memories are: wife, Mary Nell Thomas, Oakwood, Texas; son, Matthew A. Thomas, Dallas, Texas; daughter, Shakia D. Price, Palestine, Texas; brothers, Sam (Betty) Thomas, Gun Barrel, City, David (Judy) Thomas, Dallas, Texas, John (Sochi) Thomas, Fairfield, Texas; sisters, Rosie Thomas, Fairfield, Texas, Ida (Dogan) Livingston, Fairfield, Texas, Margaret Thomas, Dallas, Texas, Mary Ann Thomas, Fairfield, Texas; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
