Nadine Chivers Angton was born on April 24, 1949 in Anderson County, Texas to Walter and Odie B. Collie Chivers. She was their third child.
She was raised in Elkhart, Texas and attended Green Bay School, graduating from Elkhart High School.
She accepted Christ early in life and united with Washington Chapel Church and served as Youth Director and Treasurer. She also served on the Pilgrim Black Cemetery Association.
She married Rev. Charles Angton in 1990.
Nadine worked as a cook, nurse and medication assistant. She retired from Sterling House after 11 years.
Nadine passed away on July 25, 2015 in Palestine, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Odie B. Chivers; husband, Rev. Charles Angton; brother, Walter Cleburne Chivers; step-daughter, Felicia Angton.
Those left to cherish sweet memories:
Step-sons: Don Angton, Steve Angton, Charles Angton, Sr. & Glenn Angton; step-daughters, Anita Angton, Devon Angton; sisters, Maryland Taylor, Elkhart, TX, Charlene Chivers, Palestine, TX, Dolly D. Nelson, Elkhart, TX, Fran (James) Demus, Elkhart, TX. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
