Ozzie Lee Solomon was born on September 23, 1936 in Fairfield, Texas to Theodia and Mattie (Keeton) Solomon. He was their only child.

Ozzie was raised in Fairfield, Texas and attended school at Dogan High School, graduating with the Class of 1954.

He accepted Christ early in life and united with Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church when he moved back home to Fairfield in 1997.

He united with Dora Cardenas on March 6, 1996 and they married in Holy Matrimony on January 16, 2003 .

Ozzie was a Line Haul Driver for Sears and Roebuck, and then later drove for YRC, upon his retirement in September 2015 .

Ozzie left this earth on the Wings of Angels on May 18, 2017 in Fairfield, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodia and Mattie Solomon.

Those left to cherish sweet memories are: wife, Dora Solomon, Fairfield, Texas; sons, Darrell Solomon of Dallas, Texas, Melvin D. Solomon of Fairfield, Texas and Louis Escalona (Veronica) of Houston, Texas; daughters, Sandra G. Solomon of Dallas, Texas, Yolanda Lewis (Clarence) Midlothian, Texas, Patricia Small (James) of Fairfield, Texas, Anna Lisa Sotelo (John) of Big Spring, Texas, Mildred Garrett (Louis), DeSoto, Texas; aunt, Lillian Allen of Dallas, Texas.  22 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren. A host of cousins and friends.
