Rachel T. Bailey was born on October 8, 1932 in Oakwood, Texas to Tracy and Lula Mae (Jones) Willis. She was the fourth of eight children.
She was raised in Butler, Freestone County and attended Butler ISD. She later attended Madam C.J. Walker Beauty Culture.
Rachel accepted Christ early in life and united with Shiloh Baptist Church. In 1960 she united with St. Paul Baptist Church.
She married Theopilus Bailey on February 14, 1959. This union was blessed with four children, Joyce Robertson, Annette Bailey, Sheila Brown and Darwin Bailey.
She worked as a Beautician and Stylist for more than 65 years.
On May 18, 2016 in Desoto, Texas, Rachel left this earth on the Wings of Angels. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tracy and Lula Mae (Jones) Willis; brother, Robert Willis; three sisters, Annie Gary Johnson, Norma Jean Jones and Margaret Nell Jefferson; great granddaughter, Braelyn Sanai Brown; son-in-law, Clydell Robertson.

Husband, Theopilus Bailey, Dallas, Texas; son, Darwin (Mattie) Bailey, Desoto, Texas; daughters, Joyce Robertson, Desoto, Texas, Annette Bailey, Dallas, Texas, Sheila (Carlton) Brown, Lancaster, Texas, Carolyn (Royce Sr.) Dawkins, Buffalo, Texas, Dollie (Willie Frank) Mitchum, Dallas, Texas; sisters, Obra Faye (Corrie) Shed, Oakwood, Texas, Lue Willie (Roger) Sandifer, Oakwood, Texas and Bessie Mae Thompson, Centerville, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
