******************************************************************************************************************************
On January 6, 1969, God blessed the late O.C. Harris and Dollie Mae Williams with the birth of their 13th child whom happens to be the baby of the bunch, they named him Richard Lee Harris.
Richard accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of Lone Star Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Douglass DeBose until his passing. He kept his membership there and was a member under the leadership of Pastor Isaac DeBose until God called him to the other side on September 14, 2026.
He grew up in the big town of Trinity, Texas and attended Trinity Public School. He worked in construction, where he took pride in his hard work, dedication, and ability to provide for those he loved.
Richard was a kind and loving person; he was always the life of the party. He loved to dance, have a good time, laugh and enjoy the company of family and friends. Wherever Richard was, there was sure to be a good time. His vibrant personality and ability to make people smile made him someone who was truly one of a kind.
Richard had a special love for playing dominoes. The domino table was where his competitive side came alive. If you wanted to see his bad side, all you had to do was let him start losing at the domino table. What began as a friendly game could quickly become serious business. Beyond his love of dancing, dominoes, and having a good time, he will be remembered most for the joy he brought into the lives of others. He had a way of turning ordinary moments into memories that people will carry with them forever.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Hubbert, Leo Harris, O.C. Harris, Jr and Elvis Harris; and sisters, Betty Massie and Vera Harris.
His loving memory will always live in the heart of his wife of 40+ years, Mary Ann Harris; brothers, Eugene Harris, Jasper Callahan (Merian), and Steve Alexander; sisters, Shirley Harris, Hattie Harris and Bertha English; daughters, Chrissy Cunningham, Michelle Craft (Korey), Lakeshia Davis (Anthony) and Shantora Greggs (Ronald); 8 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; special friends, "The Big Al Crew": David, Chuck, Jeffery, Whoop, Head and Raymond; "The Domino Crew": Martinez, Robert, Poppa, Greg, Jr., etc.; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives aand friends.
