OBITUARY
Roger Dale Burns was born on August 16, 1962 in Freestone County, Texas to R.L. and Frankie Mae Hayes Burns. He was the third of eight children.
Roger was raised in Butler, Texas and attended school at Fairfield I.S.D.
He accepted Christ at an early age and united with Lone Star Baptist Church, Faith Hope & Love Church and Owen Chapel C.O.G.I.C.
Roger passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015 in Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, R.L. Burns; grandparents, Priscilla & Pierce Hayes, Sarah & Eldridge Burns; brothers, Robert Louis Burns, Thurman Burns and Johnny R.
Burns; sisters, Gwendolyn and Ruby Nell.
Loving survivors include: son, Gerald McDonald; daughter, Jasmine McDonald; mother, Frankie M. Burns, Fairfield, Texas; brothers, Maverick (Marilyn) Burns, Danny (Christi) Burns, Palestine, Texas; uncles, Pierce Hayes, Jr, Corsicana, Texas, Jimmy Lee Hayes, Teague, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
