Ruben S. Marquez was born May 23, 1955 in Huacasco Jalisco, Mexico to Antonio Marquez Rivas and Dolores Sandoval Diaz. He was their second child of 12 children.
Ruben was raised in Palestine, Texas.
Ruben married Teresa Avalos on April 13, 1997. He was the father of eight children.
Ruben passed away on May 21, 2016 at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas. He was preceded in death by mother, Dolores Sandoval Diaz; father, Antonio Marquez Rivas; sisters, Delia Marquez Sandoval and Guadalupe Marquez Sandoval; brother, Jose Marquez Sandoval.
