A beautiful baby girl was born on May 10, 1966 in Houston County, Texas to John Henry and Lillie Mae (Shepherd) Williams. They named her Ruth Ellen. She was the last of five children.

Ruth was raised in Grapeland, Texas and attended Grapeland I.S.D.

She accepted Christ early in life and united with Cedar Branch Baptist Church. She was also a member of St. John Baptist Church.

Ruth married Hayward Fobbs, Sr. This union was blessed with three children.

She worked at Grapeland I.S.D.

On April 11, 2016 in Tyler, Texas, Ruth left this earth on the Wings of Angels. She was preceded in death by parents, John Henry and Lillie Mae Williams; son, Hayward Fobbs, Jr.; two brothers, Andy Williams and Delbert Frank "Joe Pete" Williams.

Two daughters, LaShunda Fobbs of Dallas, Texas and Alicia Fobbs of Grapeland, Texas; special nephew, John (Yvette) Williams of Palestine, Texas; two brothers, Amos Williams of Grapeland, Texas and Albert (Sarah) Shepherd of Houston, Texas; sister, Nancy Williams of Grapeland, Texas; aunt, Cozetta Green, California; special cousin, Willia Allen; five grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
