On August 6, 1960 in Crockett, Texas, Bill and Katherine McCullough became the proud parents of a sweet baby boy.  They named him Sampson.

Sampson occasionally attended Rocky Mountain Baptist Church.

Sampson attended and received his education at Crockett Independent School District.

Sampson worked for Hadid's Grocery Store for several years where everyone loved for him to cut their meat.

On May 22, 2017 in Tyler, Texas, Sampson left this earth on the Wings of Angels.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Katherine McCullough; brother, Alvin McCullough, Sr.; One niece, Patricia McCullough; four nephews, Ronald McCullough, Alfred McCullough, Steven McCullough and Tracie McCullough.

He leaves to cherish many sweet memories three sons, Marlon McCullough and Sampson McCullough, Jr. of Crockett, Texas, Dontra Goodall of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Samantha Richards of Lufkin, Texas, Tiffany McKnight of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Jean (David) Ellis, Joetta (George) Owens, Barbara (Carlton) Duncan, all of Crockett, Texas, Fannie Campbell of Palestine, Texas; three brothers, Claudie (Lois) McCullough, Larry (Faye) McCullough and Lyndon (Shirley) all of Crockett, Texas; eleven grandchildren; aunts and uncles: Shirley & Elmer Murray, Bobbie & Johnnie Sweet, James & Rosemary McCullough, all of Crockett, Texas; one special friend, Anita Mask of Crockett, Texas. A host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
