Sarah Mae Davis Stout was born on December 28, 1949 in Centerville, Texas to Bivens and Katie Mae (Brown) Davis. She was the first of eight children.

She was raised in Pleasant Spring and attended Douglas High School in Centerville, Texas.

She accepted Christ early in in life and joined Pleasant Spring AME Church. Later she joined Kingdom Hall.

Sarah passed away on February 1, 2017 in Palestine, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, Livens Davis and grandparents, William and Addie Clay.

Three daughters, JoAnne Haven (Katina), Killeen, Texas, Sharon Vazquez (Marin) of Buffalo, Texas, Janice Sue Haven of Jewett, Texas; mother, Katie Buckner of Pleasant Spring Community, Texas; two brothers, Wilbert Bucker of Pleasant Spring Community, Texas and Shedrick Buckner of Fort Worth, Texas; five sisters, Shirley Gullatt of Dallas, Texas, Jeanell Jiles (David Alexander) of Spring Town, Rose Lotts of Centerville, Texas, Bobbie Buckner of Mexia, Texas and Joyce Nauling (Harie) of Centerville, Texas; aunt Stella Parks of Pelham; uncle, William Clay, Jr. of Houston, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
