Sheila Marie James was born on December 12, 1981 to Willie Deon and Shirley Bernize James in Galveston, Texas. She was the second of five children.

Sheila was raised in Crockett, Texas and attended Crockett ISD.

She accepted Christ early in her life and united with St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church.

She worked in Home Health.

On December 4, 2016 in Tyler, Texas, Sheila left this earth on the Wings of Angels. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie James; grandmother, Cilla Mae James and Venetta Davis; grandfather, L.D. Goat James; nephew, Keith Allen, Jr.

Loving survivors: two sons, Ernest Branford of Fort Carson, Colorado, Deric Branford of Crockett, Texas; two daughters, Mercedes James and Kevionia Jones both of Crockett, Texas; mother, Shirley Bernize James of Crockett, Texas; grandfather, James Henry Davis of Crockett, Texas; brother, William D. (Tonitia) James; three sisters, Shawanda (Keith) Allen, Cheryl Marie James and Wendy Ann James all of Crockett, Texas; closest friends, Eric Chatman of Crockett, Texas, and Ashley Hart of Crockett, Texas. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
