Obituary for Pastor Steven Douglas Ford

Pastor Steven Douglas Ford was born on October 6, 1965 in Dallas, Texas to Doris Nell Ford and Harold Lee Ford. He was the oldest of three siblings and was very influential in their lives. Pastor Ford loved life and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Upon graduating from Spruce High School in Dallas, Texas he entered into the US Army reserve and there after pursued a college degree at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas and Dallas Baptist University. At UNT he joined a non-Greek fraternity called Wisconsin Sleepers where he acquired the nickname "World". His nickname represented his heart as big as the world.

Pastor Ford met First Lady Pamela on Memorial Day in 1998 and later married on November 14th in the same year. He loved his wife very much and made sure she knew it all the time.

Out of this union God birthed the ministry Faith in God Worship Center on May 4, 2008. Pastor Ford was very passionate about preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Not
only did he preach the gospel, he lived what he preached. Because of his love for God and all people, he opened his heart and home to so many, not looking for anything in return. His smile, his love, and his admirable personality will be missed by all who knew him. His favorite words were "I love you and ain't nothing you can do about it."

Pastor Ford's many passions included sports, cooking, bowling and singing. One of his favorite songs is "My God is Awesome" because he believed the words of this song. Along with his cousin Jermaine, he wrote a song called "All things are Possible."
Pastor Ford and his wife started a family business called O' Taste and See
Bar-B-Que, where the food was finger licking good.

Preceding him to glory: His mother Doris Nell Ford and Pamela Faith Morrison.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 15 years First Lady Pamela Ford,
six children: Nicole Krishon Jones, Jimmy Reed Morrison, Jr., Jasmine Danielle Morrison, Marquise Douglas Ford, Antoine Jamal Morrison, and Octavius Ja'Quan Ford, twin grandchildren: Brayden Alexander Morrison and Jaidyn Aaliyah Morrison, godchildren: Ciara Edwards, Calan Johnson, Corrie Hickson, father: Harold Lee Ford, one sister: Kimberly Michelle Ford, three brothers: Andre Ford(Michelle), Kessler Ford(Sheniko) ,and Spencer John Ford , father-in-law: Corrie Shed and mother-in-law: Obra Faye Shed and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.
