Terry Von Powell, age 55, of Carrollton, Texas died Thursday, July 9, 2015 in Baylor Medical Center in Carrollton.

Terry Von Powell, age 55 of Carrollton, Texas transitioned on July 9, 2015.
Terry loved the Lord and was at total peace with his God.
All who knew and loved Terry knew of his love for music. His ritual was to faithfully purchase new releases every Tuesday. He could accurately quote all genres of music at the drop of a hat.
He graduated from Del Rio High School, loved by all and had a gift of making others laugh. No one was a stranger to Terry. He was a superb enchilada maker-taught by the guidance of his grandmother, "Momma Jatchie", Beatrice Blanks Benson.
Terry served our country in the United States Air Force for 4 years.
He was preceded in transition by mother, Loretta Powell; brother, Chucky Powell, and grandmother, Beatrice Benson.
Surviviors are his Dad, Raymond L. Powell of Austin, TX; his Sons, Dwan Powell of Asheville, NC and Antoine Powell of Carrollton, TX; his Grandchild, Elijah Powell; his Sisters, Lisa Powell Stocker of Houston, TX and Veronica Gonzales of Laredo, TX; his Brothers, Michael D,. Powell of Elizabeth, NJ and Shawn Ray Powell of Austin, TX; his Nephews, Steven O. Stocker III and his wife of Tallahassee, FL, Jamin K. Stocker of Houston, TX and Brandon D. Stocker and wife of Houston, TX; his Nieces, Nicole D. Stocker and Shaelyn D. Stocker, both of Houston, TX; his Life Partner, Ruben Smith of Carrollton, TX and his Best Friend, Tommy David of Austin, TX.
