OBITUARY
On
February 2, 1923
, Theresa Mae Murray was born and raised in Palestine, Texas to the very proud and happy parents of overseer Sam Houston and First Lady Ophelia Lee Murray. They named their beautiful daughter Theresa May Murray. She was the third of six children born to this union.
Theresa was raised in the Pinery community. Theresa attended the Green Bay School system. Theresa was a very hard worker. She helped her parents maintain their family farm.
Theresa was influenced by her parents to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior during her early childhood and was baptized under the New Testament Pentecostal Church according to "Acts 2:38." She stayed strong and faithful in her beliefs and was a prime example of Psalms 100.
As a young woman Theresa found employment as a receptionist in Texas, where she had met and married the Late Jerry Simpson. To this union she was blessed with two handsome sons; Samuel Earl Simpson and Jerry Jene Simpson.
Theresa's late Aunt Katie B. Rand of Los Angeles, CA requested her to come to San Francisco in 1952 to take care of her sick Aunt Daisy Scott. This is where she met and married her late husband Constancio Agvisit Temporal, Sr. she was yet again blessed with four more children. Her beautiful daughter Tanya Feliza Temporal and three handsome sons Constancio Agvisit Temporal, Jr., Amado Joseph Temporal and Maciso Orlando Temporal, Sr.
In her adult life besides all the hard work she did for the church and amongst her employment she LOVED to travel. Many of her remarkable travels she had her daughter Tanya right by her side. Theresa's most memorable place that she loved to visit was Israel "The Holy Land."
Theresa helped in many ways to advance the gospel of King Jesus through her Travels of life. Theresa was known for her spreading the word of God but what people may not have known about her was her sense of humor. She had a great one. Theresa would make certain jokes during many situation to ease the atmosphere. One of her quotes she would say many times was, "Have a seat, Stay a week, Just don't ask for anything to eat."
Theresa was a strong and faithful woman who consistently supported her family, her foster children and the church. She was truly blessed of the Lord Jesus as she followed his example on being a God fearing person, a believer and a true giver. She blessed her loved ones with wisdom, the truth and so much more.
