Uvearn Jones Strange was born on April 2, 1955 in Crockett, Texas to Otis and Willie D. (Vester) Jones. She was their fourth child.

Uvearn was raised in Crockett, Texas.

Uvearn accepted Christ early in life and was Baptized, she later joined County Line Church.

She was a graduate of Crockett High School.

She married James Strange. They were blessed with four daughters.

She worked as a Dietician and a Medical Care Assistant.

Uvearn passed away on September 28, 2017 in Waco, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Willie Jones; brother, Charles W. Jones, and sister, Otis Louise Jones-Crumbley (Lulu).

Lost left behind to sweet memories are:  Daughters, Tisheia Strange, Trushie Strange and Ashunta Strange-Woodson, all of Crockett, Texas; six grandchildren, Jayla, Jakayla, India, Tierra, Jordan and Devon, all of Crockett, Texas; four sisters, Margie Wilcox, Joann Jones-Wilson, Houston, Texas, Sheneta J. Jones of Crockett, Texas and Regina Jones of Palestine, Texas; three brothers, Otis Jones Jr. Of Houston, Texas, Jimmy Ray Jones (Lola) of San Antonio, Texas and James Earl Jones (Diana) of Mesa, Arizona; two aunts, Albertine Jones of Crockett, Texas and Pauline Jones of Houston, Texas. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
