Virginia Higginbotham was born on August 21, 1929 in Breckenridge, Texas to Alfred Clifford and Edweleen Lillian (Gray) Sargent. She was their only child.
Virginia was raised in Breckenridge, Texas and attended Athens Public Schools, graduating in 1947.
She accepted Christ early in life and united with Crescent Height United Methodist Church in Athens, Texas.
Virginia passed away on October 15, 2017 in Athens, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Clifford and Edweleen Sargent; son, Titus Chaney, Jr; husband, Titus Chaney Sr.
Survivors include:
Son: John Chaney of Tyler, Texas
Daughter: Martha (John) Belcher of Athens, Texas
Nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren.
A host of other relatives and friends.
