The Legacy Remembered
On March 9, 1931, Mable Moore and Earl Denman gave birth to their 4th child and they named him W C Denman. he would later be known as "Boss."
He accepted Christ as Savior at an early age was baptized at Bethel Baptist Church.
W C Denman was an outstanding father to 13 kids. His pride and joy was centered on his children. He worked in Dallas most of his adult life and was away from his family during the week. He always made up for it on the weekend. We knew when dad came to town, it was time for some fun, good eating, love and laughter, not to mention more money in the household. He had a hard time saying, "No," to his kids.
Mr. Denman played football in school and was a hard hitter. He often told the family stories about how hard he hit the other players. He once admitted taht he hit a guy so hard that the guy could never remember his own name again.
W C loved the Lord and was a big fan of Pastor T. D. Jakes of Dallas, Texas. He often watched him on television on a regular basis.
Even though he spent most of his weekends with his family and his lovely wife, his favorite pasttime was hunting. He had lots of hunting dogs and he treated them as well as he did his kids. You could always find the "Boss" chilling in the backyard, laying under a shade tree, drinking a tall glass of ice water.
W C "Boss" Denman, Sr. made his earthly departure on October 29, 2017. Preceding him in death are his parents, Earl and Mable Denman; wife, Walter Lee Denman; son, W C Denman, Jr.; brothers, Earl Jr., Fred, Leslie and Louis " L. P. " Denman.
Still cherishing his memory and expanding his legacy are his sons, Byron (Machielle) Denman, Walter Leo (Jo) Denman, Forest Denman, demond Denman, Ralph (Margaret) Denman; daughters, Stephanie Ervin, Dori Brown, Seneca Barrett, Alicia Bailey, Beatrice (Kendall) Wordlow, Belinda (Kalvin) Thomas and Chevolette Denman; his sister-in-laws, Glenda Robinson-Jones (Ronnie) and Anne Denman (L P), and a host of other relatives and friends.
