Willie Edward Jones was born on October 14, 1948 in Neches, Texas, to the parents of Adolphus Jones and Ruth Williams - Jones. Willie was the second of four children.

He was reared in Neches, Texas and attended Neches High School.

He worked in the oilfield industry for many years.

On October 8, 2015, in Tyler, Texas, Willie left this earth on the wings of angels. He was preceded in death by his father, Adolphus Jones; mother, Ruth Williams - Jones and sister, Brenda Diane Jones - Carter.

Those left to remember his sweet memories are: two sisters, Janice Jones and Patricia Jones, Houston, Texas; three children, Christa Lynn Strain, Dallas, Texas, Gerrilyn Jones, Palestine, Texas and Ennis Edward Jones, Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Alfredo, Alfred and Jasmine, Dallas, Texas; two aunts, Bobbie Williams, Colbert, Oklahoma and Beatrice Williams, Yuma, Arizona; one nephew, Delbert Jones (Jeanifer), Lewisville, Texas; one niece, Tish Jones of Houston, Texas; two grandnephews, Courtney Jones and Cedric Jones, Lewisville, Texas; two special cousins, Judith Faye Anderson and Rose Anderson; special care taker, Sarah Williams, and a host of other relatives and friends.
