Willie L. Sanders was born on August 21, 1925 in Crockett, Texas to Clifford and Climme Lee (Wilburn) Sanders. He was their first child.

Willie was raised in Crockett, Texas and attended the Cooper School System. He accepted Christ early in life and united with Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

He married Robbie Mae Sanders in 1956. This union was blessed with three children.

Willie was a farmer, mechanic, and carpenter, a "Jack of all trades".

On October 28, 2019 at East Texas Hospice in Tyler, Texas, Willie left this earth on the wings of angels. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Climme Sanders; wife, Robbie Mae Sanders; son, Willie L. Sanders, Jr.; Brothers, Adolphus Sanders, Lonnie D. Sanders; sister, Gladys Sanders; granddaughter, LaToya  J. Minter.

Loving survivors: two sons, Donald (Denita) Sanders, Conyers, Georgia, Ronald (Wanda) Sanders, Crockett, Texas; daughter, Janetta (Joe, Jr.) Sanders, Crockett, Texas; brother, Augusta Sanders, Waco, Texas; sister, Dorthy Sanders, Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Tajuanna (Charlie), Rondald, Jr. (Pricilla), Dequita (Charles), Donald C. (Ashley), Camelya, Timothy; 10 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
